| Abstract: | This article describes the evolution trends and architecture of the next-generation intelligent network. Under such a social and technical background, universal call control model based softswitch architecture for the next-generation network architecture is proposed. Moreover, the advantages and principles involved in the design and implementation of the softswitch are presented. |
