Comments on the energy transfer dye laser

Kinetic analysis of an energy transfer dye laser is presented. The laser gain function depends on the molecular parameters and on the concentrations of both the donor and acceptor. For the low signal limit the gain shows linear dependence on either the donor or the acceptor concentrations for a fixed donor-acceptor concentration ratio. This behavior has been confirmed experimentally.
