Electrical and optical properties of chlorine doped SnO2 coatings

Abstract:Pure and chlorine doped SnO2 coatings are prepared using spray pyrolysis technique. The effect of chlorine doping on the electrical and optical properties of SnO2 are studied and compared with other types of doping. The absorption coefficient data vs photon energy are analysed and interpreted in terms of direct and indirect allowed transitions. The electrical resistivity is minimum and the figure of merit is maximum for SnO2 coatings doped with 0.4 wt% Cl.
