Abstract: | We report on EXAFS analysis and computer simulations of the topological disorder in concentrated AuNi solid solutions, in relation to the marked difference in size between Au and Ni atoms. The mean nearest - neighbours interatomic distances were derived in a large composition range. It is shown that the atoms are strongly displaced with respect to the average lattice. The three partial pair correlation functions were found to be asymmetric. |
