| Abstract: | It is shown that in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with nonzero chemical potential there exist two different phases with spontaneous
breaking of chiral symmetry and the transition between the phases is a second-order phase transition. The particle number
density is nonzero in one phase and identically zero in the other phase.
