| Abstract: | This paper makes a general survey of the activities of stationing troops to garrison the frontiers in Xinjiang carried out by previous dynasties, and holds that the activities of stationing troops to garrison the frontiers in Xinjiang was influenced by the political environment, each dynasty’s national power and borderland policy, and discusses the thought and literatures about stationing troops to garrison the frontiers, and sums up the features of Xinjiang’s stationing troops to garrison the frontiers. |
