晚清书报检查制度的现代化趋向——评《晚清书报检查制度研究》

在中国经历过的两千多年专制主义社会里,统治阶层从未放松过对舆论宣传的控制。到了晚清时期,国门洞开,西方新事物、新思想不断冲击着专制主义国家的旧壁垒,清政府在专制主义政策推行上较之以前也稍有松动,特别是清政府推行新政以后,对出版舆论的监督有所放松,但这并不意味着完全的放开,统治阶层在书报检查制度上通过各种手段力求维护其正统地位,只是相对以前而言,晚清时期的书报检查制度现代性已渐露端倪,对后世产生了重要的影响。张运军学者在《晚清书报检查制度研究》一书中针对这一时期的书报检查制度给予了详细的分析解释,并从一般书籍、报纸、教科书三个方面进行了细化论述,读后深受启发,也提出了一些个人的看法以供商榷。
