现代流体力学发展的回顾与展望

回顾流体力学发展的历史。概述迄今在其各个分支领域中已取得的主要成就以及力学大师，中国老一辈科学家的重要贡献。分析不同时期的发展特点，尤其是近３０年来，由于计算流体力学日臻成熟，非线性力学取得重大进展，新兴学科分支不断涌现，形成了现代流体力学的发展阶段。展望在２１世纪，流体力学的基础研究和应用研究必将在经济建设和社会发展的各个方面发挥重要作用。 

RETROSPECTS AND PROSPECTS OF FLUID MECHANICS

An overview on the developments of modern fluid mechanics is pre-sented in this article,We have briefly described the main achievements invarious branches of the subject and the contributions to them by great masters inthe mechanics community and by Chinese scientists of older generation,In par-ticular,maturity of computational fluid mechanics, advances in nonlinearmechanics and emergence of new branches are responsible for the formation ofthe features of this period in the last three decades or so,When looking forwardto the coming century, the basic and applied rcsearches in the fluid mechanicscand certainly find wide applications to the sustainable ceonomical and socialdevelopment in the future Socicty.
