Tuning of a parametric model for the laser cutting of steels

In this work the mathematical models developed to describe the gas jet laser cutting process are examined.

Some experimental results for the laser cutting of carbon and stainless steels are also shown. These results are then used to ‘tune’ the theoretical models in order to obtain a method for making predictions about the parameters of interest in the laser cutting of steels.
