Abstract:A semimicro method has been used to study the solubilities of the ternary system, Y(NO3)3.3H2O-B15C5-CH3CN, at 18C. The results indicated that there is only one complex formed in this system. The stable complex has been isolated and its composition was determined by chemical analysis to be Y(NO3)3.B15C5.3H2O and the dehydration behavior of the complex was studied using DTA and TG methods.
