| Abstract: | Cyclization of a series of 2,6-dialkoxy acetophenone hydrazones gave 3-methyl-4-alkoxyindazoles with elimination of the 2- or 6-alkoxy group in the presence of PPA. The reaction mechanism was discussed. |
