Abstract:A linewidth formula of semiconductor optical fiber ring external cavity laser with tunable optical fiber F P cavity was presented. The formula is derived from coupled rate equations for the active and passive cavity, and it can be used in the different external cavity cases when suitable coupled coefficients selected. The effect of F P cavity on linewidth is discussed.
