| Abstract: | The present investigations were performed in order to study the electrochemical reduction of manganese dioxide in lithium cells. Samples were characterized by both ESCA and soft fluorescent X-ray emission measurements for several degrees of discharge. The influence of lithium incorporation in the cathodes at high degrees of discharge is discussed. |
