Abstract: | By analyzing time-reversed trajectories from irreversible dissipative systems, we effectively reverse the order and signs of all the Lyapunov exponents. This reversal makes it possible to obtain the most negative Lyapunov exponents relatively easily. We illustrate the validity of this idea by studying the Lorenz model of Rayleigh-Bénard instability. |
