| Abstract: | The massless string states are constructed for a four-dimensional heterotic string model with the U(5) gauge group in the untwisted sector. The complete observable gauge group, quark and lepton generations, Higgs scalar structure, quark and lepton mass matrix, couplings to colour triplet scalars, and gauge symmetry breaking are studied for this model. |
