Catastrophes and H-mode transition in tokamak scrape-off and divertor |

| Abstract: | The two-chamber model for the main plasma scrape-off and the divertor chamber of tokamaks is studied using the ideas of catastrophe theory. The Maxwell convention is used. The results show qualitative agreement with the experimentally observed features of the H-mode transition. |
