Abstract: | A study has been made on Ziegler-Natta polymerization, under various conditions, using styrene and 2-vinylpyridine as monomers, AlEt3-VCl3 as catalyst system and the heterocyclic bases, pyridine, α- and γ-picolines as co-catalyst. The influence of the temperature and times for formation of the active species prior to the polymerization reaction (formation time) in the presence of the heterocyclic bases have been analyzed. |
