| Abstract: | A study is made of the flow regimes at large wave numbers and amplitudes of the deformation of the channel wall. A numerical method used earlier by the author [7], augmented by a calculation of the pressure in accordance with a scheme of the type proposed by Richards and Crane [9], is used to determine the limits of applicability of the results reviewed by Jaffrin and Shapiro [3]. It is shown that at sufficiently large wave numbers a new type of trapping not associated with splitting of the central streamline is possible. |
