Abstract:mall-angle X-ray scattering(SAXS)techniques were applied to measure the phase dimensions of thermoplastic IPN based on SBS and styrene-methacrylate Ionomer via statistical treatment.Correlation lengths of 1.3-3.0nm were found..Specific surface areas ranged from 145000 to 360000m2/kg.The SAXS results corresponded to the lower range of the transmission electron microscopy dimensions.The two techniques have different systematic errors and measure somewhat diffferent aspects of the morphology;therefore,comparisons are useful.
