| Abstract: | The EPR spectra of Cu, Ag, and Au atoms, trapped directly in vapor-deposited alkali metal chlorides LiCl, NaCl, KCl, and CsCl using the rotating-cryostat technique, show much lower hyperfine interactions than gas-phase metal atoms or atoms in alkali metal chloride single crystals (prepared from the ions in cationic substitutional sites by electron capture). |
