Synthesis of 2-aryl-3-hydroxypyrazolo-[4, 3-b]quinuclidines

The reaction of 2-ethoxycarbonyl-3-ketoquinuclidine with arylhydrazines has been examined It is shown that the first stage in the reaction is the formation of 2-ethoxycarbonyl-3-(-arylhydrazino)-²-dehydroquinuclidines, which are then converted into 2-aryl-3-hydroxy-pyrazolo4, 3-b]quinuclidines (III).
