| Abstract: | Reaction of the Et3NH+ salts of the [(μ-RS)(μ-CO)Fe2(CO)6]− anions (R=But, Ph or PhCH2) with (μ-S2)Fe2(CO)6 gives reactive intermediates [(μ-RS)(μ-S){Fe2(CO)6}2(μ4-S)]−. Reactions of the latter with alkyl halides, acid chlorides and Cp(CO)2FeI have been studied. X-Ray structure of (μ-ButS)(μ-PhCH2S)[Fe2(CO)6]2(μ4-S) was determined. |
