| Abstract: | We present the theory of a cylindrical zone lens. It is shown that the law describing the formation of Fresnel zones on a divergent cylindrical front is very different from the plane and spherical cases. The field configuration of a cylindrical zone lens in a wide range of parameters is described. The near-focus diffraction of a cylindrical zone lens is studied experimentally. Different versions of a cylindrical zone lens are found and analyzed. |
