| Abstract: | We report that solid-phase hydrothiolysis is an efficient method to convert resin-bound peptide thioesters to thioacids in aqueous buffer by using a total PEG-based resin. Also demonstrated is the use of the so-prepared peptide thioacids in chemoselective amide bond formation reactions. |
