| Abstract: | A single crystal of 4 Br 4 '--methoxychalcone was grown by solution growth method. Second order molecular hyperpolarizibility was calculated by crystal nonlinear optical data and measured with a solvatochromic method, respectively. The phase-matching loci of BMC was presented. The effective second order nonlinear coeffecient was calculated by neglecting some macroscopic coeffeients. |
