Abstract:The rhodium-catalyzed carbonylative 3+2+1] cycloaddition of trienes into bicyclohexenones has been developed. The carbonylated cycloaddition products have a high regioselectivity. This catalytic system tolerates functionalities including ether, sulfonamide, and ester.
