Kinetic relationships of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazatriene hydrolysis in aqueous acetonitrile in the presence of triethylamine

Abstract:The kinetic and thermodynamic relationships of hexachlorocyclophosphazatriene hydrolysis in aqueous acetonitrile in the presence of triethylamine were determined. The hydrolysis mechanism involving base catalysis with triethylamine is described. The halogen substitution in hexachlorocyclotriphosphazatriene occurs by the mechanism of bimolecular nucleophilic substitution.
