A Mössbauer study of FeSn2 at 100 K in applied fields

Abstract:57Fe and119Sn Mössbauer spectra have been recorded at 100 K in applied fields of 32 and 64 kG on a FeSn2 sample obtained by arranging single crystal needles side by side. The present work confirms that the Sn fields are anisotropic above Tt=93 K. The field model has been used to determine the magnetic structure of FeSn2 below Tt.
