Main Color Extracting Algorithm of Background Based on Octree Color Quantization and Statistic in Color List

To determine the main color of the background is a key issue about camouflage pattern.Aiming at the disadvantages of the existing main color extracting method,a main color extracting algorithm based on octree algorithm and statistic in color list is presented.The images of background are done octree color quantization firstly.Then the colors with the list structure are described.At last,the main colors are extracted according as the human vision characteristic and rule.This method can extract main color from images one time,and the running time can be shorten greatly.Experiments show that this method can meet the need of the color selecting in camouflage.
