| Abstract: | According to the effective-medium theory and Bloch-Floquet theory,the frequency response of the effective constitutive parameters(ε,μ),effective refractive index(n) and propagation character parameters(γ_B,Z_B) of a simplified composite right/left handed transmission line(SCRLH TL) are investigated.A SCRLH TL bandpass filter consisted of microstrips and ground stubs with a 109%relative bandwidth at a center frequency of 7.49 GHz is designed and fabricated.The effect of the ratio of L_L over L_R to the relative bandwidth is also analyzed.The circuit simulation,full wave simulation and experiment are carried out,separately,and all the results agree well with each other.The theoretical study result shows that the relative bandwidth increases with the increasing ratio of L_L/L_r. |
