Abstract: | The following compounds have been identified in the lipids of the petals ofCarthamus tinctorius: C32 and C29 isoparaffins; free fatty acids, the main component of which is palmitic acid; 33 esters of phytol, esterified with three groups of fatty acids — paraffinic, isoparaffinic, and monoenoic of the C9–C26 series; and β-sitosterol and its β-D-glucopyranoside. |
