Flow of a jet from a slit-type source into a longitudinal carrying flow

It is shown that the problem of the mixing of a jet flowing out of an infinitely long slit-type source, with a homogeneous stream flowing parallel to the source of a jet, is analogous to the problem of the propagation of heat in a plane jet.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR.
