| Abstract: | Some space domain techniques(SDTs)such as image smoothing and histogram modification had been applied to improve degraded images.It is discussed that,(1)the image processing system has limitation on the subjects and(2)the SDTs have influences on the correlation of images and cntropy of image sources.Experimental results had shown that,the above SDTs would increase the correlation and decrease the entropy.This will provide a possible method to pre-process images before coding.Experimental results are presented. |
