| Abstract: | Octaphenyltitanocen Dichloride Octaphenyltitanocen dichloride, (Ph4HC5)2TiCl2 ( III ) was prepared by the reaction of Ph4HC5Li ( I ) with TiCl3 · 3THF, followed by oxidation of the intermediate (Ph4HC5)2TiCl ( II ) with air in HCl/THF solution. III was characterized by elemental analysis, the i. r., 1H-, and 13C-n.m.r. spectrum. The X-ray crystal structure is reported and discussed. |
