Abstract:One-to-one inclusion compounds were obtained in a crystalline state in high yields by treatment if ironpentacarbonyl and dimanganesedecacarbonyl with γ-cyclodextrin. These represent the first examples of cyclodextrin inclusion compounds with binary metal carbonyl complexes; the metal carbonyl complexes included in cyclodextrins are thermally more stable than the free complexes.
