Isothermal sections at 1473 K through the Pb-Au-FeS and Pb-Ag-FeS phase diagrams

The interactions in the Pb-Au-FeS and Pb-Ag-FeS systems have been studied using X-ray powder diffraction, electron probe microanalysis, and optical microscopy. Isothermal sections of the phase diagrams at 1473 K have been designed. The systems are ternary systems with two immiscibility regions. The equilibrium phases are an iron monosulfide-based alloy and a gold-lead or lead-silver metal alloy, respectively.
