中国数学史断代研究的一项新成果：—《明清数学史论文集》简介

本文简介梅荣照主编的《明清数学史论文集》一书，对中国数学史开展断代专题研究，是我国数学史界继承并发展李俨、钱宝琮、严郭杰先生研究成果的宏大计划，持续近三十年，历来为国际科学史界所重视，文集收入论文15篇、附录2篇，其中严敦杰先生遗作7篇，本文对15篇论文逐一作了简介。     

狭义相对论效应──运动时钟变慢的计算机模拟演示实验

利用精炼的C语言进行程序设计，定量模拟狭义相结论的运动时钟变慢，并对处于两种不同时空观的时钟运行进行对比，使得时间膨胀效应变得直观。     

双核银络合物[Ag_2(dppm)_2(Py)_2(μ-Cl)]ClO_4的合成与结构

二-(二苯基膦)甲烷(dppm)是一种易与金属形成多核络合物的有机膦配体。我们用dppm作为配体合成了一系列银的多核络合物,并对其结构进行了研究。本文报导了其中一个双核化合物[Ag_2(dppm)_2(Py)_2(μ-Cl)]ClO_4的合成及晶体结构、分子结构的测定。     

THE PARAMETER KERNELS FOR THE LINEAR INVERSION OF THE FREE OSCILLATION OF THE EARTH (Ⅰ)

In the linear inversion of the radial variation of the parameters of the Earth by usingthe observed frequencies of various normal modes of free oscillation of the earth, it is neces-sary to know the values of the kernels of the parameters ρ, μ and λ. This paper describesthe methods of the derivation of the formulas of these kernels. This is the first part of thepaper in which only the toroidal oscillations are considered. They are much simpler thanthose of the spheroidal ones, that we will consider in the second part of the paper. The data of the two types of oscillations are equally important in the solution of theinversion problem, and should be employed simultaneously, and we know that the toroidaloscillations are much simpler than the spheroidal ones, it seems wise to divide the whole programof the inversion problem into steps: first, by employing the toroidal data to correct the twoparameters ρ and μ in the mantle, then by using the spheroidal data to correct the remain-ing parameters, i.e. th     

A comparison of phototautomerism in different sites of free-base porphin (H2P) in n-alkane crystals

Selective laser-induced phototautomerism of free-base porphin in different n-alkanes (n-hexane, n-heptane, n-octane, nnonane, n-decane, n-undecane and n-dodecane) has been used to identify tautomer splittings in a number of sites in polycrystalline samples at 2 K. Pairs or lines arising from the two molecular orientations in each site can be reversibly transformed into each other. In the odd n-alkanes the occupation of different sites was not dependent on the rate at which the samples were frozen, but in the even n-alkanes metastable sites were only occupied following rapid quenching.     

Transference numbers for ultra concentrated solutions of aqueous hydrochloric acid at 25°C

Transference numbers of HCl(aq) solutions at 25°C, from 0.01 to 13.6 mol-kg^–1(m) have been obtained by measuring the emf of cells with transference using hydrogen gas/platinum electrodes. Good agreement is obtained at concentrations up to 1 m with all previous data, and our results strongly corroborate those of King and Spiro over the 2–8m concentration range. The transference numbers of the hydronium ion fit the empirical equation, _H ^HCl = 0.821 + 0.0457m ^1/2 – 2.476×10^–2m – 1.90×10^–4 m ² – 1.45×10^–5 m ³ the maximum deviation in T _H ^HCl being 0.003.
