Supramolecular chemistry

The article discusses molecular recognition and overviews the key concepts -storage and retrieval of chemical information by molecular structures, supramolecular reagents and catalysts, molecular transport, semiochemistry and self assembly. The prospects of controlling supramolecular architecture through engineered molecular recognition and design of ‘programmed systems’ controlled by molecular information are also discussed.     

张扬个性与为社会、为时代而呐喊——从文士疵瑕与地位谈起

南朝时传统文论常常谈起文士疵瑕，探寻其目的，一是为文士虽有文学成就却地位低下而生遗憾之叹，二是认为所谓文士的疵瑕是由于其从事文学这一特殊的事业而张扬个性所致。在唐代，文士的地位有所提高，传统文论进而鼓吹文学既要张扬个性，又要同社会相结合，为时代而呐喊。

Dipolar relaxations in an epoxy-amine system

Dipolar relaxations in a reactive epoxy-amine system based on diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A with 4,4^′-diaminodiphenylsulfone were studied with the Havriliak-Negami function. The system was cured isothermally at 140 °C using simultaneous kinetic and microdielectric studies.The relaxation time was calculated from the frequency f_max of the peak of the loss factor ε^′′ versus frequency f. A linear relation exists between the logarithm of the relaxation time τ and the glass transition temperature T_g. Then, logτ follows the Di Benedetto equation revisited by Pascault and Williams allowing the prediction of the relaxation time τ during cure.The unrelaxed permittivity at high frequency ε_u, the relaxed or static permittivity ε_s and the skewness parameter β were found independent on the conversion or the curing time. The distribution parameter α decreases as curing time t increases. The difficulty of orientation of dipoles in the electric field due to vitrification is responsible of these behaviours.

Semiclassical information from deformed and escort information measures

Escort distributions are a well established but (for physicists) a relatively new concept that is rapidly gaining wide acceptance in world. In this work we wish to revisit the concept within the strictures of the celebrated semiclassical Husimi distributions (HDs) and thereby investigate the possibility of extracting new semiclassical information contained, not in the HD themselves, but in their associated escort Husimi distributions. We will also establish relations, for various information measures, between their deformed versions [J. Naudts, Physica A 316 (2002) 323] and those built up with escort HDs. Bounds on the concomitant power exponents will be determined.     

Aspects of multistation quantum information broadcasting

We study quantum information transmission over multiparty quantum channel. In particular, we show an equivalence of different capacity notions and provide a multiletter characterization of a capacity region for a general quantum channel with k senders and m receivers. We point out natural generalizations to the case of two-way classical communication capacity.
