Rocky coast processes: with special reference to the recession of soft rock cliffs

Substantial progress in research on the recession of coastal cliffs composed of soft materials has been made in recent years and data with higher accuracy have been accumulated. This paper provides the state of the art review in the recession studies and highlights two new findings obtained from the reanalysis of existing data. The review topics are: episodic and localized nature of cliff recession; the development of cliffline; the relationship between cliff height and recession rate; mechanisms of cliff toe erosion by waves; a fundamental equation for wave-induced toe erosion; factors controlling toe erosion; and slope instabilities and mass movements. The findings are presented on (1) the temporal change in cliffline recession mode and (2) the effect of beach sediment at the cliff base on the cliff erosion.

On co-semihereditary rings

A ringR is left co-semihereditary (strongly left co-semihereditary) if every finitely cogenerated factor of a finitely cogenerated (arbitrary) injective leftR-module is injective. A left co-semihereditary ring, which is not strongly left co-semihereditary, is given to answer a question of Miller and Tumidge in the negative. If _R U _S defines a Morita duality,R is proved to be left co-semihereditary (left semihereditmy) if and only ifS is right semihereditary (right co-semihereditary). Assuming thatS⩾R is an almost excellent extension,S is shown to be (strongly) right co-semihereditary if and only ifR is (strongly) right co-semihereditary. 物质和能量代谢是人体各组织器官机能活动的基础，应用运动时物质和能量代谢规律指导训练期间的营养安排是非常有益的．通过对排球运动的特点进行分析，结合各供能系统的特点以及各种能量物质分解的先后关系，简要陈述排球比赛中的物质和能量代谢，分析了排球运动中疲劳产生的可能原因，有针对性地提出训练中的营养安排以及应当注意补充的几种营养物质。

排球跳发球的"质""量"分析

从跳发球的“质”“量”入手，运用生物学原理及观察、统计等方法，结合中外排球大赛的实况，对跳发球和站发球等技术在比赛实战中的效果进行对比分析．结果显示，跳发球力量大、过网点低、球速快、攻击性强、得分率高，在比赛中显示出较大的威力，我国应加强跳发球技术的推广和应用。     

我国排球后备人才的培养与市场管理交流体制

分析了社会转型期我国排球后备人才的培养以及市场交流管理体制，认为我国排球后备人才培养体制由单一、封闭模式向多元、开放模式发展，建立多渠道、多形式的多元培养体制是大势所趋；传统的排球后备人才管理体制存在各种弊端，建立切实可行的排球后备人才流动市场体制，实现人才的最佳化流动，最大限度地合理使用排球后备人才，是提高后备人才使用率和成材率的关键。
