在无线通信中，由于无线信道的多径衰落极大地恶化了通信质量。为了达到优良的误码率性能。考虑在传送通路上产生的多径衰落状态和符号同步的位置是重要的，合适的保护间隔（GI）设计是必须的。在OFDM通信方式中，把指数函数型延迟作为多径环境的模型，从传送效率和误码率特性的角度出发，研究了关于在发送端应附加的GI长度和接收端应去除的GI长度的设计方法，在考虑同步误差时，使OFDM具有能承受多径衰落的优良特性。

A generalized fortress problem using k-consecutive vertex guards

The fortress problemwas posed independently by Joseph Malkelvitch and Derick Wood to determine the number of guards sufficient to cover the exterior of an n-vertex polygon. O'Rourke and Wood showed that vertex guards are sometimes necessary and always sufficient. Yiu and Choi considered a variation of the problem by allowing each guard to patrol an edge (called an edge guard) of the polygon and obtained a tight bound of edge guards for general polygons. In this paper, we unify and generalize both results by considering the number of k-consecutive vertex guards that are required to solve the fortress problem. A tight bound of is obtained. Economic design of inspection procedures using guard band when measurement errors are present

One of the most important aspects in designing production systems is implementing an adequate inspection procedure to ensure the product quality. Our literature study indicates that two important questions still remain unanswered. First, most of the previous studies on inspection procedures are mainly concerned with how to evaluate and analyze the adequacy of inspection procedures during a production stage. Although the issue of the adequacy of inspection procedures at this point is clearly important, many production processes may better benefit from designing enhanced inspection procedures during an early design stage. Second, the majority of previous studies do not incorporate possible economic impacts of measurement errors when inspection procedures need to be designed. More extensive efforts in designing inspection procedures need to be investigated based on economic considerations. Two approaches, the use of guard band and the selection of inspection precision level, are simultaneously examined for designing economic inspection procedures. By incorporating these two approaches, this paper proposes an optimization scheme for economic design of inspection procedures. A numerical example along with sensitivity analysis demonstrates the applicability of the proposed model.     

高光电探测效率CMOS单光子雪崩二极管器件

基于0.18μm CMOS工艺技术,制作了单光子雪崩二极管,可对650~950nm波段的微弱光进行有效探测.该器件采用P~+/N阱结构,P~+层深度较深,以提高对长光波的光子探测效率与响应度;采用低掺杂深N阱增大耗尽层厚度,可以提高探测灵敏度;深N阱与衬底形成的PN结可有效隔离衬底,降低衬底噪声;采用P阱保护环结构以预防过早边缘击穿现象.通过理论分析确定器件的基本结构参数及工艺参数,并对器件性能进行优化设计.实验结果表明,单光子雪崩二极管的窗口直径为10μm,器件的反向击穿电压为18.4V左右.用光强为0.001 W/cm~2的光照射,650nm处达到0.495A/W的响应度峰值;在2V的过偏压下,650~950nm波段范围内光子探测效率均高于30%,随着反向偏压的适当增大,探测效率有所提升.

The use of microparticulate guard columns in reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography

Summary The use of mciroparticulate guard columns in conjunction with high efficiency reverse-phase columns has been evaluated in terms of system efficiency and peak symmetry using three standard test mixtures. The effects of linking tube dimensions, particle size of guard column packing and the use of low or zero dead volume couplings have been investigated. Both valve and stopped-flow injection techniques have been used. Recommendations are given for the most efficient use of guard columns.
