Mixed-graft block copolymers (mGBCPs) consist of two or more types of polymeric side chains grafted on a linear backbone in a random, alternating, or pseudo-alternating sequence. They can phase-separate with the backbone serving as the interface of the blocks, and the side chains dominate their self-assembly behavior. mGBCPs are an accessible polymer architecture for exploring the idea of encoding polymer properties through the macromolecular architecture, as there are two distinct structural components that can be tuned: the backbone and the side chains. In this Concept article, the current literature on the synthesis of mGBCPs is reviewed, and the advantages and disadvantages of each synthetic method are noted. The self-assembly of mGBCPs is also discussed where possible. Finally, directions for future research on mGBCP synthesis and self-assembly are suggested. 相似文献

The development of high-performance (K,Na)NbO3 (KNN)-based lead-free piezoceramics for next-generation electronic devices is crucial for achieving environmentally sustainable society. However, despite recent improvements in piezoelectric coefficients, correlating their properties to underlying multiscale structures remains a key issue for high-performance KNN-based ceramics with complex phase boundaries. Here, this study proposes a medium-entropy strategy to design “local polymorphic distortion” in conjunction with the construction of uniformly oversize grains in the newly developed KNN solid-solution, resulting in a novel large-size hierarchical domain architecture (≈0.7 µm wide). Such a structure not only facilitates polarization rotation but also ensures a large residual polarization, which significantly improves the piezoelectricity (≈3.2 times) and obtains a giant energy harvesting performance (Wout = 2.44 mW, PD = 35.32 µW mm−3, outperforming most lead-free piezoceramics). This study confirms the coexistence of multiphase through the atomic-resolution polarization features and analyzes the domain/phase transition mechanisms using in situ electric field structural characterizations, revealing that the electric field induces highly effective multiscale polarization configuration transitions based on T–O–R sequential phase transitions. This study demonstrates a new strategy for designing high-performance piezoceramics and facilitates the development of lead-free piezoceramic materials in energy harvesting applications. 相似文献

A new cross-linkable naphthalene-cyclocarbosiloxane was synthesised starting from bis[1,4-bis(methylhydrosiloxanyl)-dihydronaphthalene] via catalytic addition of the Si-H reactive groups to the unsaturated bond of triethoxyvinylsilane. Hyperbranched polycyclocarbosiloxane networks were formed by condensation of the alcoxyl groups in the presence of dibutyltin dilaurate as catalyst. The cross-linking process was studied in order to obtain information concerning the values of the reaction parameters and to determine the position of the gelation point relative to conversion.GPC analysis, IR, and 1H-NMR spectral analysis techniques were used to investigate the chemical structures of the intermediates and of the product. 相似文献

Two rare 12-tungstovanadate-bipyridine inorganic–organic hybrid compounds, [VW12O40] · 2(4,4′-H2bipy) · 2H2O (1) and [VW12O40] · 4(2,2′-Hbipy) (2), have been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and IR analysis. In 1, a 2-D supramolecular architecture is formed by hydrogen-bonding between [VW12O40]4? and bipy. Compound 1 shows good activity for photocatalytic reduction of rhodamine B in a liquid–solid system. Abstract Partially recurrent neural networks with different topologies are applied for secondary structure prediction of proteins. The state of some activations in the network is available after a pattern presentation via feedback connections as additional input during the processing of the next pattern in a sequence. A reference data set containing 91 proteins in the training set and 15 non-homologous proteins in the test set is used for training and testing a network with a modified, hierarchical Elman architecture. The network predicts the secondary structures α-helix, β-sheet, and “coil” for each amino acid. The percentage of correctly classified amino acids is 67.83% on the training set and 63.98% on the test set. The best performance of a three-layer feedforward network is 62.7% on the same test set. A cascaded network, where the outputs of the recurrent network are processed by a second net with 13 × 3 inputs, four hidden and three output units has a predictive performance of 64.49%. The best corresponding feedforward net has a performance of 64.3%. 相似文献

New series of acridines and phenanthrolines have been prepared from β-chlorovinyl aldehydes and various aniline derivatives allowing the installation of valuable substituents, such as ketone, nitro or amino groups at the heterocyclic core. X-ray analyses confirmed the structures of acridines and phenanthrolines as well as the presence of partially hydrogenated rings and their crucial impact on the overall shape of the acridine-based architectures. 1H NMR revealed the helical behaviour of several acridine motives. Self‐assembled metallosupramolecular architectures (MSAs) with built‐in functionalities such as light‐harvesting metal centers are a promising approach for developing emergent properties within discrete molecular systems. Herein we describe the synthesis of two new but simple “click” ligands featuring a bidentate 2‐pyridyl‐1,2,3‐triazole chelate pocket linked to a monodentate pyridyl (either 3‐ or 4‐substituted, L1 and L2 ) unit. The ligands and the corresponding four PdIIand PtIImetallo‐ligands ( Pd1 , Pd2 , Pt1 and Pt2 ) were synthesized and characterized using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI‐MS), and X‐ray crystallography. Solid‐state characterization of the series of ligands and metallo‐ligands revealed that these compounds display a co‐planar conformation of all the aryl units. The PtIIcontaining metallo‐ligands ( Pt1 and Pt2 ) were found to assemble into square ( Sqr ) and triangular ( Tri ) shaped architectures when combined with neutral PdCl2 linker units. Additionally, the ability of the PtIImetallo‐ligands and Tri to photocatalyze the cycloaddition of singlet oxygen to anthracene was investigated. 相似文献
