Adaptive Kernel Function of SVM for Improving Speech/Music Classification of 3GPP2 SMV

Because a wide variety of multimedia services are provided through personal wireless communication devices, the demand for efficient bandwidth utilization becomes stronger. This demand naturally results in the introduction of the variable bitrate speech coding concept. One exemplary work is the selectable mode vocoder (SMV) that supports speech/music classification. However, because it has severe limitations in its classification performance, a couple of works to improve speech/music classification by introducing support vector machines (SVMs) have been proposed. While these approaches significantly improved classification accuracy, they did not consider correlations commonly found in speech and music frames. In this paper, we propose a novel and orthogonal approach to improve the speech/music classification of SMV codec by adaptively tuning SVMs based on interframe correlations. According to the experimental results, the proposed algorithm yields improved results in classifying speech and music within the SMV framework.     

基于UML的建模及模型检验研究

UML是一种广泛使用的面向对象的可视化统一建模语言,但UML缺乏精确的语义描述,难以对UUL模型进行分析验证以判断设计规范是否满足目标需求。符号模型检验是一种能够有效保证系统可信性质的自动检验技术。为了检验UML模型的正确性,在建模的基础上把UML模型转换为SMV模型,然后使用符号模型检验器（SMV）对模型进行检验,有利于在系统的设计早期发现系统的缺陷。     

SMV噪声抑制模块的分析和改进

介绍了可选模式声码器（SMV）算法的噪声抑制模块的原理,结合实例对该模块降噪的不足进行了分析。针对这些不足,结合谱减法的特点提出了改进方法。测试表明,所提出的改进算法能达到较好的降噪效果。

介绍了目前第3代移动通信系统中最主要的2种可变速率语音编码器——AMR和SMV的原理,同时从编码方式、自适应原理、复杂度、误帧处理、系统延迟和合成语音质量这几个方面对这2种多速率语音编码器进行了比较。     

High-precision mapping of the magnetic field utilizing the harmonic function mean value property

The spatial distributions of the static magnetic field components and MR phase maps in space with homogeneous magnetic susceptibility are shown to be harmonic functions satisfying Laplace's equation. A mean value property is derived and experimentally confirmed on phase maps: the mean value on a spherical surface in space is equal to the value at the center of the sphere. Based on this property, a method is implemented for significantly improving the precision of MR phase or field mapping. Three-dimensional mappings of the static magnetic field with a precision of 10(-11) approximately 10(-12) T are obtained in phantoms by a 1.5-T clinical MR scanner, with about three-orders-of-magnitude precision improvement over the conventional phase mapping technique. In vivo application of the method is also demonstrated on human leg phase maps.     

CDMA的两种变速率语音编码性能比较

从语音编码器的编码原理出发分别介绍了CDMA的两种变速率语音编码标准———EVRC和SMV,并在此基础上进行了性能分析与比较,最后得出比较结果:SMV工作在模式0的时候,速率与EVRC相当,但其合成音质有明显提高;SMV相较EVRC的优点还体现在他的灵活性,编码速率和模式可变,能够使通话质量与系统容量达到不同程度的均衡。
