线圈型全光纤偏振器的研究

本文采用等效电流法对线圈型全光纤偏振器进行了分析计算.对应于保偏光纤中两正交传输基模的消光比,提出了一种分析保偏光纤弯曲损耗的新方法,这种方法基于将保偏光纤两个不同偏振模式分别等效为两个普通圆光纤的基模,等效参数通过测量不同偏振模式的模场半径来确定.实验证明这种理论计算方法与实验结果一致.最终,我们研制出的线圈型光纤偏振器在1.31μm工作波长下,实测消光比达30dB以上,工作偏振模式插入损耗≤3dB.     

偏光片周边的镜面磨削工艺

偏光片是液晶显示器的主要原材料之一,约占其制造成本的20%～30%,介绍了偏光片的基本结构和偏光片周边的镜面磨削工艺,该工艺是对裁切好的偏光片的周边进行精磨的工艺过程,使之达到要求的光洁度以及精确的尺寸和角度.     

A novel terahertz wave reflective polarizer for THz communication

We design terahertz wave reflective polarizer that operates over a wide terahertz wavelength range and is based on a periodic bilayer structure. The structure is characterized by transfer matrix calculations. Results of simulations show that the mirror is highly reflecting for incidence angle θ ≤ 60°and TE as well as TM polarization in the wavelength range between 541.6 μm and 574.2 μm (i.e. frequency band between 522.5GHZ and 533.9 GHZ). As the incidence angle increases this reflection band blueshifts for both TM and TE polarizations.     

Spectral changes of vector Gaussian Schell-model beams passing through an aperture lens

On the basis of the polarization matrix and propagation equation of the cross-spectral density matrix, the spectral changes in the focal plane of vector Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams focused by an aperture lens are studied, where the influence of correlation and polarizer on the behavior of the spectral switch is stressed. It is found that the critical position u_c, spectral minimum S_min, and transition height Δ of the spectral switch depend on the auto-correlation but do not depend on the cross-correlation of GSM beams if there is no polarizer. However, in the presence of the polarizer u_c, S_min and Δ depend on both auto- and cross-correlations. The polarizer affects the spectral switch of vector GSM beams, whereas it does not affect the spectral switch of scalar GSM beams.     

TFT-LCD偏光片加工工艺与设备探索

分析了偏光片加工的特点,对如何提高偏光片产品尺寸精度和角度精度进行了工艺探讨;同时对偏光片边沿加工设备的实现提出了初步构想.     

高双折射保偏光纤拍长测试及Mueller矩阵分析

为了测量高双折射保偏光纤的拍长,采用偏光干涉效应的方法,构建由宽谱光源、带保偏尾纤的起偏器和光谱分析仪组成的全光纤光路测试系统。从理论上用Mueller传输矩阵方法推导了到达光谱仪的光强公式,利用该方法构建实验系统对熊猫型保偏光纤的拍长进行了测试,获得了该保偏光纤拍长的测量数据。结果表明,由待测保偏光纤的偏光干涉效应引起的光强波动以一定的周期间隔表现在光谱变化上,波动的相对幅度与待测保偏光纤主轴与起偏器的保偏尾纤主轴夹角有关,当夹角均为±45°时波动的相对幅度最大。只要在实验中测量出光谱波动的周期,就能够根据理论计算出给定波长处的保偏光纤的拍长。     

聚乙烯醇中的紫外偏振线性聚炔分子

本文通过研究共轭线性碳链分子，聚炔H(C≡C)_nH (n=5∽7)的电子吸收带，设计了适用于UV的光偏振膜. 激光烧蚀的聚炔分子被分散在聚乙烯醇膜中. 结构各向异性的性质使得多炔分子的UV吸收跃迁偶极子与分子轴平行，并且吸收仅发生在沿着分子轴具有电子矢量幅度的电磁波上. 多炔分子在固体聚乙烯醇膜中作为特定波长入射光的偏振分量之一的选择性吸收剂. 使用可旋转的偏振UV光研究包含聚炔分子的拉伸聚乙烯醇膜的吸收强度的角度依赖性，并根据线性二向色性理论中有序参数进行分析.     

金属覆盖型光波导极化器的分析和设计

本文通过精确求解波导的本征方程，针对光波导极化器，分析了金属覆盖四层光波导中ＴＭ模随缓冲层参数变化的特性，指出了存在于其中的模式共振点，根据模式共振点的特点给出了金属覆盖型光波导化器的优化设计原则，最后讨论了使用ＣａＡｓ／ＧａＡｌＡｓ材料制作光波导极化器的意义。     

一种制作W波段自立式线栅极化器的新方法

设计并制作了一个W波段的极化器,设计参数为金属丝直径100 μm,间距300 μm.实测结果表明,金属丝直径和间距的均值分别为100.3 μm,300.2 μm;标准差为5.2 μm,8.3 μm,表明极化器具有较高的加工精度和良好的均匀性;同时其表面平整度优于30 μm.另外,测试了极化器的透射系数以及极化器作为可变衰减器时的透射系数,测试结果与理论计算结果具有良好的一致性,具有良好的极化性能.     

UV-Polarizing Linear Polyyne Molecules Aligned in PVA

Electronic absorption bands of conjugated linear carbon chain molecules, namely polyynes H(C≡C)_nH (n=5-7), are exploited to devise light-polarizing films applicable to the UV. Laser ablated polyynes are separated in size and dispersed in a film of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), which is stretched to align the trapped linear polyyne molecules inside. As a nature of the structural anisotropy, transition dipole of the UV absorption for polyyne molecules is in parallel with the molecular axis and the absorption occurs only for the electromagnetic wave having the amplitude of its electric vector along the molecular axis. Aligned and fixed orientationally in the solid PVA film, polyyne molecules act as selective absorbers of one of the polarization components of incident light at particular wavelength. Using a light source of linearly polarized UV light, whose direction of polarization is rotatable, angular dependence of the absorption intensity is investigated for the stretched PVA film containingaligned polyyne molecules and analyzed in terms of an order parameter in the theory of linear dichroism.
