A series of complexes formed between halogen-containing molecules and ammonia have been investigated by means of the atoms in molecules (AIM) approach to gain a deeper insight into halogen bonding. The existence of the halogen bond critical points (XBCP) and the values of the electron density (Pb) and Laplacian of electron density (V2pb) at the XBCP reveal the closed-shell interactions in these complexes. Integrated atomic properties such as charge, energy, polarization moment, volume of the halogen bond donor atoms, and the corresponding changes (△) upon complexation have been calculated. The present calculations have demonstrated that the halogen bond represents different AIM properties as compared to the well-documented hydrogen bond. Both the electron density and the Laplacian of electron density at the XBCP have been shown to correlate well with the interaction energy, which indicates that the topological parameters at the XBCP can be treated as a good measure of the halogen bond strength In addition, an excellent linear relationship between the interatomic distance d(X…N) and the logarithm of Pb has been established.  相似文献

A molecular mechanics software enhanced to perform empirical energy calculations on crystals (KESSHOU) was further developed to handle intermolecular electrostatic interactions as well. The packing of the molecules of 1,4-dicyanobenzene and 1,4-diisocyanobenzene in the crystal was studied. The role of the van der Waals and the electrostatic interactions in the balance of nonbonded atom-atom interactions is analyzed. The packing forces are dominated by van der Waals forces. The electrostatic interactions have higher stabilizing contribution for the dicyano isomer than for the diisocyano form. The dependence of the results on the size of the crystal, the molecular mechanics force field (MM2 vs MM3), and the dielectric constant are also assessed. Ab initio MP2/6–311G** geometries of the isolated molecules are in accordance with the observed benzene ring distortions determined by electron diffraction.  相似文献

Summary A novel formulation of MP2 theory is presented which starts from the Laplace transform MP2 ansatz, and subsequently moves from a molecular orbital (MO) representation to an atomic orbital (AO) representation. Consequently, the new formulation is denoted AO-MP2. As in traditional MP2 approaches electron repulsion integrals still need to be transformed. Strict bounds on the individual MP2 energy contribution of each intermediate four-index quantity allow to screen off numerically insignificant integrals with a single threshold parameter. Implicit in our formulation is a bound to two-particle density matrix elements. For small molecules the computational cost for AO-MP2 calculations is about a factor of 100 higher than for traditional MO-based approaches, but due to screening the computational effort in larger systems will only grow with the fourth power of the size of the system (or less) as is demonstrated both in theory and in application. MP2 calculations on (non-metallic) crystalline systems seem to be a feasible extension of the Laplace transform approach. In large molecules the AO-MP2 ansatz allows massively parallel MP2 calculations without input/output of four-index quantities provided that each processor has in-core memory for a limited number of two-index quantities. The geometries of van der Waals complex CO2…CO were optimized at DFT and second-order Moller-Plesset perturbation(MP2) levels with the large basis set,three stable structures were found.The most stable structure has a T-shape geometry in which the CO lies along the C2 axis of CO2,with the two C atoms direct contact and R(C…C)=0.3227nm.The corresponding energies of the most stable structure were calculated by means of MP2,MP4D,MP4DQ,MP4SDTQ,MP4SDQ,CCSD and CCSD(T) methods,The BSSE (basis set superposition error) wads eliminated by the Boys-Bernardi counterpoise correction(CP) method.According to thermodynamics data.van der Waals complex CO2…CO can found at a low temperature and or a high pressure,There is a little charge transferred between the two interacted subunits.In the most stable structure,CO2 is the acceptor and CO is the donor.  相似文献

Main characteristics are described of the PRIRODA quantum-chemical program suite designed for the study of complex molecular systems by the density functional theory, at the MP2, MP3, and MP4 levels of multiparticle perturbation theory, and by the coupled-cluster single and double excitations method (CCSD) with the application of parallel computing. Thermal motion of CH4+ is investigated by performing an ab initio molecular dynamics method with the second-order M?ller-Plesset (MP2)/6-311G** force field. In the trajectories obtained at 400 K, we have observed rapid interconversion behavior of the geometrical parameters of CH4+ with the frequency of 0.6/ps, where the C-H pair forming the small angle around 55 degrees is switched to another pair on subpicosecond time scale. The switching patterns are found to be classified into the following two types. Type 1: one C-H of the small angled C-H pair is switched to one C-H of the other C-H pair. Type 2: the small angled C-H pair is switched to the other C-H pair, which has been newly observed in the present ab initio MD calculation. The four C-H bonds of CH4+ are characterized by the long and short C-H bonds in a time region of the trajectories, and also for the time-evolution of C-H bonds such interconversion behavior is observed. The switching patterns of the geometrical parameters are compared with those in the interconversion scheme between six equivalent C2v symmetry structures of CH4+ [Paddon-Row, M. N. et al., J Am Chem Soc 1985, 107, 7696]. We have also investigated the electronic energy fluctuation due to thermal motion of CH4+. The standard deviation of total electronic energy at 400 K is evaluated to be 1.2 kcal/mol.  相似文献

The Comparative Molecular Field Analysis (CoMFA) was developed to investigate a three-dimensional quantitative structure activity relationship (3D-QSAR) model of ligands for the sigma 1 receptor. The starting geometry of sigma-1 receptor ligands was obtained from the Tripos force field minimizations and conformations were decided from DISCOtech using the SYBYL 6.8. program. The structures of 48 molecules were fully optimized at the ab initio HF/3-21G* and semiempirical AM1 calculations using GAUSSIAN 98. The electrostatic charges were calculated using several methods such as semiempirical AM1, density functional B3LYP/3-21G*, and ab initio HF/3-21G*, MP2/3-21G* calculations within GAUSSIAN 98. Using the optimized geometries, the CoMFA results derived from the HF/3-21G method were better than those from AM1. The best CoMFA was obtained from HF/3-21G* optimized geometry and charges (R2 = 0.977). Using the optimized geometries, the CoMFA results derived from the HF/3-21G methods were better than those from AM1 calculations. The training set of 43 molecules gave higher R2 (0.989-0.977) from HF/3-21G* optimized geometries than R2 (0.966-0.911) values from AM1 optimized geometries. The test set of five molecules also suggested that HF/3-21G* optimized geometries produced good CoMFA models to predict bioactivity of sigma 1 receptor ligands but AM1 optimized geometries failed to predict reasonable bioactivity of sigma 1 receptor ligands using different calculations for atomic charges.  相似文献

用B3LYP和MP2方法及6-31G(d, p)、6-31+G(d, p)、6-311G(d, p)和6-311+G(d, p) 基组,对六种氟代乙烯阳离子做了理论研究,优化了它们的基电子态的结构,计算了对应分子的垂直电离势(VIP)和绝热电离势(AIP).结果表明,与具有非平面结构的乙烯阳离子不同,六种氟代乙烯阳离子都只具有平面结构;与分子结构相比,离子结构的C-C键增长, C-F键缩短, CCF键角变小. 自然布居分析计算表明,这些离子的正电荷主要分布在与F原子相连的C原子和各H原子上. B3LYP/6-311+G(d, p) 级别上计算的各分子的VIP和AIP值和实验值符合得很好. 使用含弥散基函数的基集可以明显提高这类分子的电离势的计算精度.  相似文献
