Simultaneous approximation for the Bézier variant of Baskakov-Beta operators

In the present paper, we study the rate of convergence in simultaneous approximation for the Bézier variant of the Baskakov-Beta operators by using the decomposition technique of functions of bounded variation.

Numerical simulation of critical dependences for symmetric two-layered Josephson junctions

Partial critical dependences of the form current-magnetic field in a two-layered symmetric Josephson junction are modeled. A numerical experiment shows that, for the zero interaction coefficient between the layers of the junction, jumps of the critical currents corresponding to different distributions of the magnetic fluxes in the layers may appear on the critical curves. This fact allows a mathematical interpretation of the results of some recent experimental results for two-layered junctions as a consequence of discontinuities of partial critical curves.     

Measuring spatial coherence by using a mask with multiple apertures

A simple method to measure the complex degree of spatial coherence of a partially coherent quasi-monochromatic light field is presented. The Fourier spectrum of the far-field interferogram generated by a mask with multiple apertures (small circular holes) is analyzed in terms of classes of aperture pairs. A class of aperture pairs is defined as the set of aperture pairs with the same separation vector. The height of the peaks in the magnitude spectrum determines the modulus of the complex degree of spatial coherence and the corresponding value in the phase spectrum determines the phase of the complex degree of spatial coherence. The method is illustrated with experimental results.     

一类三阶牛顿变形方法

A class of third-order convergence methods of solving roots for non-linear equation,which are variant Newton's method,are given.Their convergence properties are proved.They are at least third order convergence near simple root and one order convergence near multiple roots.In the end,numerical tests are given and compared with other known Newton's methods.The results show that the proposed methods have some more advantages than others.They enrich the methods to find the roots of non-linear equations and they are important in both theory and application.

Solitonic interactions and double-Wronskian-type solutions for a variable-coefficient variant Boussinesq model in the long gravity water waves

Under investigation in this paper is a variable-coefficient variant Boussinesq (vcvB) model for the nonlinear and dispersive long gravity waves in shallow water traveling in two horizontal directions with varying depth. Connection between the vcvB model and a variable-coefficient Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur system is revealed under certain constraints with the help of the symbolic computation. Multi-solitonic solutions in terms of the double Wronskian determinant for the vcvB model are derived. Interactions among the vcvB-solitons are discussed. A novel dynamic property is observed, i.e., the coexistence of elastic-inelastic-interactions.

Magnetic symmetry and transport properties in crystals

The number of non-vanishing independent tensor components in respect of the known transport properties for the magnetic variants of the crystallographic point groups are obtained by adopting a different procedure. This method fulfils the orthogonality conditions of group theory.     

Analysis of genetic variants of transferrin in human serum after desialylation by capillary zone electrophoresis and capillary isoelectric focusing

Capillary electrophoresis analysis of transferrin in human serum is used to assess genetic variants after desialylation with neuraminidase and iron saturation to reduce the complexity of the transferrin pattern and thus facilitate the recognition of transferrin polymorphisms. Asialo‐transferrin forms are analyzed by capillary zone electrophoresis using assay conditions as for the monitoring of carbohydrate‐deficient transferrin or by capillary isoelectric focusing in a pH 5–8 gradient which requires immunoextraction of transferrin prior to analysis. With the carrier ampholytes used, peaks for iron saturated and iron depleted transferrin are monitored which indicates complexation of iron ions by carrier ampholytes. For BC, CD, and BD genetic variants, the expected peaks for B, C, and D forms of transferrin were detected with both methods. Monitoring of CC patterns revealed three cases, namely those producing double peaks in both methods, a double peak in capillary isoelectric focusing only and a double peak in capillary zone electrophoresis only. For all samples analyzed, data obtained by capillary isoelectric focusing could be confirmed with gel isoelectric focusing. The two capillary electrophoresis methods are shown to represent effective tools to assess unusual transferrin patterns, including genetic variants with dissimilar abundances of the two forms.
