HIRFL–CSR加速器中束流与真空中剩余气体的碰撞损失

研究了重离子加速器中束流与真空中剩余气体的碰撞损失过程和碰撞截面,在依据大量实验数据的基础上,提出了一组计算离子一原子的电荷交换截面的经验公式.以兰州重离子加速器HDRFL及冷却储存环CSR为例,给出了依据碰撞截面的公式计算束流在加速器真空中的传输效率的方法,并计算了在不同真空度下HIRFL的ECR源轴向注入束运线、注入器SFC、前束运线、主加速器SSC和后束运线等不同加速阶段及CSR的传输效率,并提出合理的真空度要求.HIRFL的真空分布测量和束流的损失测量证明了该计算方法的可靠性.     

A modified predictor–corrector scheme for the two-dimensional sine-Gordon equation

A three-time level finite-difference scheme based on a fourth order in time and second order in space approximation has been proposed for the numerical solution of the nonlinear two-dimensional sine-Gordon equation. The method, which is analysed for local truncation error and stability, leads to the solution of a nonlinear system. To avoid solving it, a predictor–corrector scheme using as predictor a second-order explicit scheme is proposed. The procedure of the corrector has been modified by considering as known the already evaluated corrected values instead of the predictor ones. This modified scheme has been tested on the line and circular ring soliton and the numerical experiments have proved that there is an improvement in the accuracy over the standard predictor–corrector implementation. This research was co-funded by E.U. (75%) and by the Greek Government (25%).     

光纤的能量传输特性及应用

着重分析了影响光纤传输能量以及光纤传输中造成能量损耗的因素。这些因素主要包括光纤材料、构造、光纤的折射率分布、光纤的长度和芯径、光纤的数值孔径和热效应以及耦合等。同时 ,结合激光二极管点火的实例 ,分析探讨了其背景和应用价值。结论是 :为了尽可能减少能量损耗、提高光纤输出的激光功率和激光功率密度 ,应当选取合适的激光工作波长、较小的光纤长度、较小的芯径和较小的数值孔径 ,应采用渐变折射率分布光纤 ,应减少弯曲与耦合     

锥形光纤间耦合特性的分析与检测

将通信光纤的末端拉制成锥形，利用光信号在光纤锥形区特有的传输和耦合特性，实现了光纤的耦合、连接和分束。用耦合模理论分析了锥形光纤间的传输和耦合性质，给出了光信号两锥形光纤间的耦合与两锥形光纤的距离和锥形区重叠长度等实验结果。     

Allocating electricity transmission costs through tracing: a game-theoretic rationale

Tracing is a method of assigning flows in an electricity network to particular generators and loads, assuming perfect mixing at each node. It can be used to assign costs to transmission users. We show that the resulting allocation is equal to the Shapley value of an equivalent co-operative game.     

The Exact Solutions of Some (2 + 1)-Dimensional Integrable Systems

The equivalence of three (2 1)-dimensional soliton equations is proved, and the quite generalsolutionswitha some arbitrary functions of x, t and y respectively are obtained. By selecting the arbitrary functions, many specialtypes of the localized excitations like the solitoff solitons, multi-dromion solutions, lump, and multi-ring soliton solutionsare obtained.     

Effect of Weakly Transverse Perturbations on Dust Acoustic Solitary Waves with Adiabatic Variation of Dust Charge

By employing the reductive perturbation technique we derived a Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation forunmagnetized dusty plasmas. It suggests that the nonlinear dust acoustic solitary waves with adiabatic variation of dustcharge are stable even there are some higher order transverse perturbatoins. There are only rarefactive solitary wavesfor this system which has been verified analytically in this paper.     

~ Transform Demonstration of Dark Soliton Solutions Found by Inverse Scattering

One of the basic problems about the inverse scattering transform for solving a completely integrable nonlinear evolutions equation is to demonstrate that the Jost solutions obtained from the inverse scattering equations of Cauchy integral satisfy the Lax equations. Such a basic problem still exists in the procedure of deriving the dark soliton solutions of the NLS equation in normal dispersion with non-vanishing boundary conditions through the inverse scattering transform. In this paper, a pair of Jost solutions with same analytic properties are composed to be a 2 × 2 matrix and then another pair are introduced to be its right inverse confirmed by the Liouville theorem. As they are both 2 × 2 matrices, the right inverse should be the left inverse too, based upon which it is not difficult to show that these Jost solutions satisfy both the first and second Lax equations. As a result of compatibility condition, the dark soliton solutions definitely satisfy the NLS equation in normal dispersion with non-vanishing boundary conditions.     

An ASE Reduction Filter Using Cascaded Optical Fiber Grating Couplers in EDFA Repeater

A new configuration for an ASE reduction filter in EDFA repeaters for WDM optical transmission systems using optical fiber grating couplers (FGCs) was proposed and first demonstrated. The filtering characteristics of the proposed filter for amplified single wavelength signal and 2-channel WDM signals using EDFA were identified. It was found that the filter was effective to improve SNR in optical domain by reducing ASE noise. The required FGC characteristics for the filter were theoretically predicted under the condition that the total filter loss did not exceed 3 dB. More than 70% of drop efficiency was required in each FGC for the application of the proposed filter to an 8-channel WDM system using EDFA repeaters.
