Baryon asymmetry generation through preonic monopoles

A scheme is presented for baryon asymmetry generation in early universe through monpole-induced baryon number violating processes in the context of a preonic model.     

A cyclic universe with colour fields

The topology of the universe is discussed in relation to the singularity problem. We explore the possibility that the initial state of the universe might have had a structure with 3-Klein bottle topology, which would lead to a model of a nonsingular oscillating (cyclic) universe with a well-defined boundary condition. The same topology is assumed to be intrinsic to the nature of the hypothetical primitive constituents of matter (usually called preons) giving rise to the observed variety of elementary particles. Some phenomenological implications of this approach are also discussed.      

Supersymmetric preon models with three-fermion generations

A class of supersymmetric preon models is considered in which the hypercolour groupG _HC and the unbroken flavour groupG _f anomalies are zero without needing spectators. It is shown that forG _HC=SU(2) and SU(3) quarks and leptons as composites can be obtained satisfying ’t Hooft’s anomaly matching conditions. For the case ofG _HC=SU(3),G _f can accommodate a horizontal symmetry group to describe just three generations.
