It is demonstrated that a certain amount of order can be extracted from an apparently random distribution of pores in sedimentary rocks by exploiting the scaling characteristics of the geometry of the porespace with the help of fractal statistics. A simple fractal model of a sedimentary rock is built, and is tested against both the Archie law for conductivity and the Carman-Kozeny equation for permeability. We demonstrate how multifractal scaling of pore-volume can be used as a tool for rock characterization by computing its experimentalf() spectrum, which can be modelled by a simple two-scale Cantor set.  相似文献

Two bilayer thin films with different stacking sequences, Cu/Ti/Si and Ti/Cu/Si, were deposited by DC magnetron sputtering technique. X‐ray diffraction technique was used to measure the crystallization structures, and scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy were used to measured surface morphology. The multifractal spectra f(α)‐α was used to characterize the surface morphology. The result of |q|max ≤ 53 is obtained by multifractal analysis. The shape of the multifractal spectra f(α) ? α is hook‐like for Cu/Ti/Si and bell jar‐like for Ti/Cu/Si. The spectrum width Δα = αmax ? αmin and Δf(=f(αmin) ? f(αmax)) of the multifractal spectra is able to quantitatively analyze the growth and surface roughness of the Cu/Ti bilayer thin films. The surface of Ti/Cu/Si thin film is more uniform and smoother than the film of Cu/Ti/Si. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to create a mathematical model useful for monitoring the release of bioactive aldehydes covalently bonded to the chitosan by reversible imine linkage, considered as a polymer–drug system. For this purpose, two hydrogels were prepared by the acid condensation reaction of chitosan with the antifungal 2-formyl-phenyl-boronic acid and their particularities; influencing the release of the antifungal aldehyde by shifting the imination equilibrium to the reagents was considered, i.e., the supramolecular nature of the hydrogels was highlighted by polarized light microscopy, while scanning electron microscopy showed their microporous morphology. Furthermore, the in vitro fungicidal activity was investigated on two fungal strains and the in vitro release curves of the antifungal aldehyde triggered by the pH stimulus were drawn. The theoretical model was developed starting from the hypothesis that the imine-chitosan system, both structurally and functionally, can be assimilated, from a mathematical point of view, with a multifractal object, and its dynamics were analyzed in the framework of the Scale Relativity Theory. Thus, through Riccati-type gauges, two synchronous dynamics, one in the scale space, associated with the fungicidal activity, and the other in the usual space, associated with the antifungal aldehyde release, become operational. Their synchronicity, reducible to the isomorphism of two SL(2R)-type groups, implies, by means of its joint invariant functions, bioactive aldehyde compound release dynamics in the form of “kink–antikink pairs” dynamics of a multifractal type. There are mainly two approaches to the multifractal analysis of measures. The first one, which is used in applications and in studying problems arising from dynamical systems, uses a hierarchy of boxes. The second one, which is more satisfactory from the viewpoint of geometric measure theory, uses more intrinsicconcepts. This article is an account of a work by J. Barral, F. Ben Nasr, and J. The non-thermal phase transition in high energy collisions is studied in detail in the framework of random cascade model. The relation between the characteristic parameter Ap, of phase transition and the rank q of moment is obtained using Monte Carlo simulation, and the existence of two phases in self-similar cascading multiparticle systems is shown. The relation between the critical point qc of phase transition on the fluctuation parameter a is obtained and compared with the experimental results from NA22. The same study is carried out also by analytical calculation under central limit approximation. The range of validity of the central limit approximation is discussed.  相似文献

We discuss the problem of higher-dimensional multifractal spectrum of local entropy for arbitrary invariant measures. By utilizing characteristics of a dynamical system, namely, higher-dimensional entropy capacities and higher-dimensional correlation entropies, we obtain three upper estimates on the hlgher-dimensional multifractal spectrum of local entropies. 在多重分形理论和特征判定法的基础上,构造了求多重分形谱的滑动格子计算法,计算出了研究区域4种元素深、浅层的多重分形谱f(α)的图像.结果显示浅层元素的分布不具备多重分形特征;深层元素分布符合多重分形特征.就三种分形维数——格子维数、信息维数、关联维数对深层元素的分布做出了大小排序解释;后就多重分形谱f(α)的跨度、对称性和两端差值Δf做出了对应于深层元素分布概率分布集中差异、高低浓度分布差异、稳定性的解释.最后根据上述分析的结果指出应用求多重分形谱的滑动格子法研究深浅地层元素分布是一快速、实用、有效的方法,具有良好的应用前景.  相似文献
