The LPCTrap experiment: measurement of the β–ν angular correlation in 6He using a transparent Paul trap

We report on the status of the LPCTrap experiment, devoted to measure the β–ν angular correlation in the pure Gamow–Teller decay of ⁶He. This measurement is motivated by the search for the presence of tensor type contributions to the weak interaction. The ⁶He ions are confined in a novel transparent Paul trap. The β particles and the recoil ions are detected in coincidence to deduce the angular correlation parameter. The commissioning run performed in 2005 has given the proof of principle of this experiment. Up to 10⁵ coincidences were recorded during a second run in 2006.     

Ultrafast carrier dynamics in ferromagnetic InGaMnAs

We have carried out an ultrafast time-resolved differential reflectivity study of a ferromagnetic semiconductor InGaMnAs and made a systematic comparison with low-temperature grown and high-temperature grown InGaAs reference films. Very short carrier lifetimes (2 ps) were observed in InGaMnAs and the low-temperature grown InGaAs film, but not in the high-temperature grown InGaAs film. We attribute the short lifetimes to carrier trapping by mid-gap states introduced during low-temperature MBE growth. Furthermore, at long times, we observed periodic oscillations in the differential reflectivity signal with period 20 ps, which we interpret as coherent acoustic phonons.     

应变Si1-xGex层中p型杂质电离常温和低温特性

本文采用解析的方法计算了应变Si1-xGex层中p型杂质电离度与Ge组分x、温度T以及掺杂浓度N的关系.发现常温时,在同一Ge组分下,随着掺杂浓度的升高,杂质的电离度的先变小,而后又迅速上升到1.在同一掺杂浓度下,轻掺杂时,杂质的电离度随Ge组分的增加先变大,而后几乎不变;重掺杂时,杂质电离能变为0后,杂质电离度为1.低温下,轻掺杂时,载流子低温冻析效应较为明显,杂质的电离度普遍较小,当掺杂浓度大于Mott转换点时,载流子冻析效应不再明显,电离率迅速上升到1.在同一Ge组分下,随着掺杂浓度的升高,杂质的电离度先变小,后变大,而后又迅速上升到1.在同一掺杂浓度下,轻掺杂时,杂质的电离度随Ge组分的增加变大;重掺杂时,杂质电离能变为0后,杂质电离度为1.

Fluctuation kinetics of diffusion-controlled processes: Strong effects due to correlations and fluctuations

We summarize some recent results related to fluctuation-induced kinetics of diffusion-controlled processes. We show that kinetic behavior can be drastically changed due to fluctuation effects, spatial correlations between particles, and anomalous transport properties. In addition, we show that correlation-induced kinetics in some systems can govern the temporal evolution over the entire time domain.     

低密度聚乙烯光引发交联机理——Ⅱ.BNB自旋捕捉ESR研究

在光引发剂二苯甲酮(BP)存在下,紫外光辐照低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)所形成的自由基中间体已被自旋捕捉剂2,4,6-三特丁基亚硝基苯(BNB)所捕捉,其自旋加合物自由基已为电子自旋共振(ESR)所特征。现已检测和鉴定到二种自旋加合物:一种是叔碳自由基;另一种是仲碳自由基。它们分别是由BP的激发三重态从LDPE链的支化点和亚甲基团上夺氢所形成的自由基中间体同自旋捕捉剂BNB反应生成的。上述的证据表明:LDPE的光引发交联点主要发生在叔碳和仲碳原子上,且H-型交联点占主导地位。

In practice, however, several simplifications are often made.
