The mass power spectrum for a Universe dominated by the Chaplygin gas is evaluated numerically from scales of the order of the Hubble horizon to 100 Mpc. The results are compared with a pure baryonic Universe and a cosmological constant model. In all three cases, the spectrum increases with k, the wavenumber of the perturbations. The slope of the spectrum is higher for the baryonic model and smaller for the cosmological constant model, the Chaplygin gas interpolating these two models. The results are analyzed in terms of the sound velocity of the Chaplygin gas and the moment the Universe begins to accelerate.  相似文献

Summary The neutrino emission from supernova 1987A is being studied by taking into consideration the effect of the magnetic field present in the star. The magnetic field generates an anisotropic feature in the local space-time, which in turn leads to the cancellation of the axial-vector part of the neutrino current. The interaction cross-section of these neutrinos in the course of their interaction with matter on Earth has an inverse square energy dependence. The present work presents the calculations based on this changed cross-section that relates to predictions of the expected number of events at KAMIOKANDE on the basis of the Mont Blanc signal. It might be interesting to take a look into the implications of these results. The author of this paper has agreed to not receive the proofs for correction.  相似文献

If string theory is correct, then our observable Universe may be a 3-dimensional “brane” embedded in a higher-dimensional spacetime. This theoretical scenario should be tested via the state-of-the-art in gravitational experiments—the current and upcoming gravity-wave detectors. Indeed, the existence of extra dimensions leads to oscillations that leave a spectroscopic signature in the gravity-wave signal from black holes. The detectors that have been designed to confirm Einstein's prediction of gravity waves, can in principle also provide tests and constraints on string theory. We consider the embedding of 3+1 dimensional cosmology in 4+1 dimensional Jordan-Brans-Dicke theory. We show that exponentially growing and power law scale factors are implied. Whereas the 4+1 dimensional scalar field is approximately constant for each, the effective 3+1 dimensional scalar field is constant for exponentially growing scale factor and time dependent for power law scale factor.  相似文献

We discuss the equation of motion of the rotating homogenous and isotropic model of the Universe. We show that the model predicts the presence of a minimum in the relation between the mass of an astronomical object and its angular momentum. We show that this relation appears to be universal, and we predict the masses of structures with minimal angular momenta in agreement with observations. In such a manner we suggest the possibility at acquirement of angular momenta of celestial bodies during their formation from the global rotation of the Universe.  相似文献

Manifestation of Ricci scalar like a matter field as well as a geometrical field, at high energy, has been noted earlier [9]. Here, its interaction with another scalar field is considered in four-dimensional curved space-time. This interaction leads to the production of a large number of pairs of spinless particle-antiparticle due to expansion of the early universe in the vacuum state (provided by temperature dependent Coleman-Weinberg like potential for Ricci field), where spontaneous symmetry breaking takes place.  相似文献

A review of different cosmological models in diverse dimensions leading to a relatively small time variation in the effective gravitational constant G is presented. Among them: the 4-dimensional (4-D) general scalar-tensor model, the multidimensional vacuum model with two curved Einstein spaces, the multidimensional model with the multicomponent anisotropic “perfect fluid”, the S-brane model with scalar fields and two form fields, etc. It is shown that there exist different possible ways of explaining relatively small time variations of the effective gravitational constant G compatible with present cosmological data (e.g. acceleration): 4-dimensional scalar-tensor theories or multidimensional cosmological models with different matter sources. The experimental bounds on Ġ may be satisfied either in some restricted interval or for all allowed values of the synchronous time variable.   相似文献

The growth of the perturbation density in a baryon substance due to a nonstationary character of the equation of state of nonbaryon matter in the Universe is studied. The goal of this paper is to present some estimations of so-called 'microscopic Hubble constant' in the nucleus-nucleus collisions at the energies available at FAIR GSI, in the frame of CBM experiment. The analysis, based on the experimental data obtained in the previous nucleus-nucleus collisions at RHIC, indicated values of this constant of about 1023s−1 and ratios between the Hubble constant and 'microscopic Hubble constant' with the same magnitude as the ratio between the intensities of both interactions types involved. The UrQMD v 2.3 simulation code is used to generate events for Au-Au collisions at the energies of 5 GeV/u, 10 GeV/u, 15 GeV/u and 20 GeV/u and the Buda-Lund model is used for evaluation.  相似文献
